Weekly Share: Emotional Literacy for Success and Happiness

Jim Dethmer is a conscious leadership expert. While some of Tim Ferriss’ podcasts can be a lot even for my podcast-junkie self, this one (Apple, Spotify) is worth the time investment if you want to become more emotionally-literate, and therefore more present and successful in your career and relationships.

In the first 20 minutes you’ll learn about Byron Katie’s famous method for dealing with negative thoughts, and why emotion-shifting modalities like meditation won’t make high achievers lose their mojo as many fear - even if negative emotions drive them.

Later Jim discusses practices that helped him remove all unnecessary drama from his 20-year marriage and can make it easier for people to live in their zone of genius.

And that’s just the first hour.
