Somewhere Between Success and Failure

Somewhere between success and failure is the worst place to be. You can just keep going without much reflection. You’re just fine. You have small successes that fill you with the hope that bigger successes are just around the corner. That can continue forever.

A major failure makes you think, course-correct, but middling success is sustainable. So-and-so famous person only became a massive success after a lifetime of trying, so why can’t that be you? You don’t pause and ask if your heart is as engaged as that famous person’s in your craft. Are you truly pursuing a passion or are you compromising in a way that’s palatable to you and everyone in your orbit? Are you showing up as the best version of yourself or are you operating out of worry and stress?

Is it time to start asking yourself the hard questions?
